VROSol stands for Virtual Radiation Oncology Solutions. Founded by board-certified medical physicists to bring rigorous clinical standards, dependable QA, and high-quality planning to radiation oncology departments of every size — from major regional hospital systems to rural community clinics.
Led by Alek Rapchak, an ABR board-certified medical physicist (certified 2019), alongside ABR-certified physicist partners and AAMD board-certified dosimetrists.
VROSol was created to solve a critical access and safety challenge in radiation oncology: ensuring every patient, regardless of geography or clinic size, receives care backed by meticulous medical physics.
In many community and rural cancer centers, recruiting and retaining a permanent, on-site physicist is an ongoing struggle. Yet these centers treat complex cases and serve vital communities whose patients deserve the exact same high-caliber physics oversight and QA rigor as major academic hospitals. At the same time, solo physicists in regional clinics frequently carry immense clinical burdens — balancing machine QA, chart reviews, and planning with no backup and no room for illness or rest.
VROSol was established to bridge that gap. We began by supporting rural centers and solo physicists who needed an experienced, trustworthy second set of hands to protect patient safety and prevent clinical burnout.
Since our founding, VROSol has evolved into a comprehensive remote physics and dosimetry practice supporting clinics nationwide — from high-volume multi-linac hospital systems to small, solo-physicist rural centers. We provide full remote programs, hybrid support for on-site physicists, bridge coverage during recruiting transitions, and remote physician planning. While our scale has grown, our core principle remains unchanged: every clinic, large or small, deserves uncompromising physics quality, patient safety, and dependable partnership in every plan we touch.
Remote-first and documentation-driven, aligned to your clinic’s QA policies and clinical goals. For some partners we serve as the entire remote physics program. For others we integrate with an on-site physicist — easing their workload while they maintain local machine QA and clinical oversight. Multiple ABR-certified physicists are assigned to each site, ensuring coverage continues seamlessly without vacation gaps or single-person dependency. Physics packages scale with department volume, providing true clinical agility without paying for idle coverage.
Systems: Primary proficiency in Eclipse/Aria; experienced with RayStation, Pinnacle, and Mosaiq. Deep Oncentra brachytherapy planning experience — remote HDR planning and second checks for routine and complex cases. On-site machine QA primarily in the Southeast US.
